BON Networks delivers smart directional antennas for broadband wireless communications integrated into a single chip. With support for variable applications from Wi-Fi and WiMAX to UWB ranging from 2-6 GHz, BON’s directional antennas, using patent pending phased array technology, are able to deliver more than 6dB gain over conventional omni-directional antennas. BON’s SEDAN product line delivers multiple radiating elements with a smart chip controller which integrates the entire RF front end and antenna control into a single chip. The SEDAN antenna is electrically steered in less than 1 microsecond. The SEDAN antenna works together with MIMO technology (2X2) delivering the ultimate link budget superiority to all applications. Intended for the mobile market, BON’s SEDAN line actually reduces the BOM costs while delivering the added gain, with a footprint small enough to fit into a mobile phone. Better SAR results and improved impedance mismatch behavior are an added bonus.
